Finding Hope and Building a Future:  A Journey from Homelessness to Stability

For Faith, life has been a journey of resilience, growth, and gratitude. At just 19 years old, she and her boyfriend, John, found themselves facing a daunting challenge: finding a place to live as they prepared to welcome their first child. Despite both holding steady jobs, the young couple struggled to secure housing and were left with limited options. A Google search led them to the Changing Lives Shelter (CLS), where their lives took a turn for the better.

From Struggle to Strength: Angie’s Journey of Hope and Transformation

Angie’s story is one of hope, resilience, and the determination to break free from the cycle of addiction. Originally from Baltimore, MD, Angie struggled with substance abuse for years, eventually relapsing three years ago under circumstances that would test anyone’s resolve. On Friday the 13th, her home was raided, and that night she made a decision that would change the course of her life. She checked herself into a crisis center, where she was guided to a rehabilitation facility to start her recovery journey.
