Other Ministries

HACC_crops4The Council also conducts or partners in the following ministry programs:

  • Celebrate Recovery – A Christ~Centered Recovery Program Meets Friday 7:00 PM- 9:30 PM ~ breaks off into different recovery groups.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous – meets weekly each Sunday from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM.
  • Computer & Resource Center – provides help in job search, on-line applications & resume building; services done individually.
  • CROP Hunger Walk – Organized annually to raise money for food and relief supplies worldwide; 25% remains in Hanover area.
  • Faith-at-Work – Volunteers work at Grace United Methodist Church or from their homes on Tuesdays sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting or making small wooden toys.
  • Narcotics Anonymous – meets weekly each Saturday at 7:00 PM at 136 Carlisle St., Hanover.
  • Public Worship – Community worship services, including hymn sings, Christian Unity Service, a Good Friday Service, Baccalaureate Service and Thanksgiving Eve Service. These services give us a chance to praise God together with one heart and with one voice.
  • SMART Recovery – An alternative to AA or NA meetings. Offered at the Council Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 pm.
  • Stolte Scholarship Fund – Assists in distributing memorial scholarships to students preparing for full-time church-related vocation.
  • Sunday Worship Service – A nondenominational service is offered at 136 Carlisle St. each Sunday at 10:30 AM. All are welcome to attend.
